When You authorize Advanced Conservation Systems to receive Your data from Southern California Edison ("SCE") through the Green Button Connect My Data program, We receive the following from SCE: customer name and service address, account number, rate schedule, service point and meter identifiers, monthly billing summaries, and interval meter readings (typically 15-minute or hourly resolution), for up to 36 months of historical data plus ongoing updates while Your authorization is in effect.
We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service. The technologies We use may include:

We use SCE-sourced utility data only to evaluate Your facility's energy use; size, recommend, design, and quote conservation systems; measure and report savings achieved by installed systems; provide related customer support; and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell SCE-sourced utility data. We do not use it for marketing unrelated to services You have requested. We do not share it with affiliates or business partners. The general sharing list above does not apply to SCE-sourced utility data, except for sharing with the service providers identified in the next section who process data strictly on Our behalf.
We use the following service providers to host and process SCE-sourced utility data on Our behalf, under written agreements limiting their use to providing services to Advanced Conservation Systems:
We do not share SCE-sourced utility data with any other third party without Your authorization, except as required by law.
The Company will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies.
The Company will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.
SCE-sourced utility data is retained only while Your authorization is in effect. After Your authorization ends — by Your revocation, by SCE, by closure of Your service account, or by expiration — We delete or de-identify the underlying utility data within 30 days, except where retention is required to honor Your request, complete a transaction, or comply with law.
Your information, including Personal Data, is processed at the Company's operating offices and in any other places where the parties involved in the processing are located. It means that this information may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of Your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from Your jurisdiction.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.
The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

The security of Your Personal Data is important to Us. We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Personal information and SCE-sourced utility data are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher and encrypted at rest using AES-256. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized Advanced Conservation Systems personnel using single sign-on with mandatory multi-factor authentication. We log access to SCE-sourced data and review logs periodically.
In the event of a confirmed breach affecting SCE-sourced data, We will notify SCE Green Button (GreenButton@sce.com) within 72 hours and notify affected customers as required by law.
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect Your Personal Data, We cannot guarantee its absolute security.
You may revoke Your SCE Green Button authorization at any time, with no effect on Your SCE service:
You may request a copy of the personal information We hold about You, ask Us to correct or delete it, and ask questions about how We use it. If You are a California resident, You have the right to know what personal information We collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. Advanced Conservation Systems does not sell personal information.
You have the right to file a complaint with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) about the handling of Your utility data.
Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
